Courtney calls herself a ‘mountain girl’ because she grew up in Jim Thorpe. When she was 17 she came off the mountain to move to the Lehigh Valley, where she entered the dental field.
“I’ve always loved going to the dentist,” says Courtney, who added that the first thing she notices about people is their teeth.
Courtney began her work in the field of dentistry as a front desk receptionist and then a pediatric dental assistant at a practice in Limerick. Eventually that hour commute got to be a bit much, and since she was already our patient she inquired about opportunities here at HDG. That led to her joining our team in fall 2019.
Courtney says she enjoys working here because there’s more variety than in pediatric dentistry, and “it’s more hands on.” She also enjoys working with Dr. Ann, Dr. Kali and Dr. Peter. “She’s so sweet,” she says of Dr. Ann. “She’s spunky.”
Courtney ultimately plans on becoming an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA), which she can do with two years of dental assistant experience and her X-ray certification.
Outside of work Courtney likes to be active and outdoors as much as possible. She’s been snowboarding since she was in high school, enjoys running and working out at the gym. She’s also an animal lover and hopes to adopt some cats after she buys a house.
“I really enjoy this practice. I love the energy that’s in here,” she says. We love having Courtney on our team and we think you’ll love her as much as we do! Say hi to her the next time we see you.
